175 Anniversary Project

Home / 175 Anniversary Project

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to our 175 Anniversary project.  We are attempting to help mothers who have chosen to give life to their babies.  Some of these young mothers will not have a baby shower because they have no support network.  We are looking for things for 0-3 months old babies. This email will contain the things that we are looking for.  This is a year long project that will end on January 14,  2018.  It would be amazing if we could do a 175 baskets one for each year of ministry.  What a challenge!

Here are some questions that were asked and I will provide answers too.

What if we all bring in hair soap and conditioner?

If all of a sudden I have 30 hair soap and conditioner I will email everyone to stop buying hair stuff, and will tell you we are short of baby rattles or onesies.

Can we fill a basket all on our own?

Yes you can!  But this is designed so that a child can get involved by just spending 5 dollars on Socks a rattle or diaper rash cream.

Can I just donate a 175 dollars to cover a basket and someone else will shop for me?

No, only someone who is a shut in will be allowed to do this.  If you don’t live in a seniors home then the answer is no.  But that does not mean that you can’t work together just don’t tell me!

This is designed to get you involved personally.  It is a project that the smallest and poorest of us can help with.  One thing a week would be the goal then we need each other and we will then celebrate together.  We will keep you up to date on how many baskets we have donated.

Who is going to help me learn to Knit or Crochet?

Patrica will be helping us to learn to knit

Jackie will be helping us to learn to crochet

Stay tuned for when the lessons will take place

Please bring your baby items and we will ask you to put them in the basket during the singing of the first song each week as an act of our worship.  One little thing done for Jesus.
