Happy New Years

I grew up on Charlie Brown and the gang.  I loved them as a kid and love and appreciate them more as I grow older.  They are timeless.  We see ourselves in them. At one point or another everyone of these characters were apart of me.  I acted just like them.  I thought like them.

Many times I acted like Lucy, a know it all who loves to control the world around her.  I wanted to be in control.  I thought my opinions were treasures and that everyone should listen to them so their lives would be fixed.  I would really loved to have shouted at those who were block head and were not listening.

There have been times when I descended to the level of Pig Pen.  My office is a mess, I am a mess there seems to be a dark cloud around me and everywhere I go disaster followed me.  I know we have all felt like that.

As a kid I was in love with the little red headed girl on the block.  She broke my nose and I still was in love with her.  I still love red heads.  I don’t think that they love me.

Who can’t love snoopy!  He is just the coolest thing in the world.  He is the beagle of all beagles.  He saved Charlie brown so many times.  He loved him unconditionally and he was willing to listen without judgement to anything Charlie brown was saying.  He the dog I always wanted but never had.

Charlie Brown, poor old Charlie Brown he was average.  He is a no body!  Charlie would blend into any crowd.  Charlie was the least liked the guy who was not talented, and yet had enough talent to do something but not enough to be great.  Story of my life.  I am an average person.  I blend in and am quickly forgotten.  I will retire and within a very short time it will be like I never was there.

God sent his son to the Peanuts gang in all of us.  When no one else notices you he does.  When you think that no one will ever love you God loves you before the foundations of the world were laid.

God is love pure love and you are the focus of that love.

John 3:16 “God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life.

My prayer is that you will have a God filled New Year.
