Christopher Clause Worship Pastor
Christopher Clause is a husband, father, musician and worship pastor who has a passion for God, his family, music and the city of Hamilton. Born in Hamilton and raised in Grimsby, he moved back to Hamilton after marrying his childhood sweetheart. He received his Bachelor of Music degree (summa cum laude) at McMaster University, studying Classical Guitar with Lynne Gangbar and Peter McAllister. He then received his Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Toronto and then taught music for ten years. Through his struggles and failures both personally and professionally, Christopher says, “God has been merciful to me, showing me grace that I had never experienced before. I continually live in the shadow of His grace.”
He has been the worship pastor at Graceworks (formerly James Street Baptist) since 2002. During this time he has been active in the local music community staging tribute shows to raise money for Out of the Cold and Gracenotes (a benevolent initiative to help local artists create and release their own records) as well as producing, performing and recording his own music. In 2015 he and his soulmate Rose-Frances celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, and they have two beautiful children: Emma and Riley. When he is not leading worship or performing you can find him browsing in a record store or at home spinning vinyl.
